Reddell Beach Women Only Tour

Experience a refreshing and healing women’s only tour on Djugun and Yawuru Country led by your Tour Guide, Elder Pat Torres. Meeting first at the Women’s Centre in Broome before heading down to Reddell Beach by car (a vehicle is required, 2 wheel-drive is suitable) and taking a short (easy grade) walk down the pathway to the Beach. Here is where you will be immersed in a Welcome to Country, Smoking Ceremony and Water Ceremony. Pat will take you through each of these ceremonies explaining their meaning and the positive impact it can have on your personal well-being.
Following these ceremonies, Pat will share with you women’s stories of this culturally significant site, which will include a further short walk up the beach. From there, it will be time to sample some Busk Tucker refreshments such as Rosella or Davidson Plum Cordial and Sweet Treats, specifically known for their healing properties for women’s health. An opportunity to end the tour with learning some language words and a Q and A time will complete this powerful cultural immersive experience.
