Twice a year Broome celebrates Fusion Moon when the full moon rises at the top of Napier Terrace through the Chinatown Entry Statement "Fusion". If you're standing at the west end of Napier Terrace, you'll see the full moon rise up through Fusion.
27 March 2024
The moon rises at 7.06pm. It will reach the top of the mangroves by 7.25pm then rise steadily up through Fusion. There is no formal event on this night, but the street lights will be dimmed to enable people to get good photos of the phenomena.
20 August 2024
The moon rises at 6.19pm. It will reach the top of the mangroves by 6.40pm, then rise steadily up through Fusion. There will be a formal Shire-sponsored event on this night,
