The internationall acclaimed Pigram Brothers have become the iconic sounds of Broome. Their unique musical style was inspired from the and is a tribute to the pearling days of Broome's past. Their influence on Australian music is significant with collaborations with Paul Kelly, Alex Lloyd, Shane Howard and Jimmy Barnes to name a few.

In 2006 Steven and Alan were inducted into the Western Australian Music Hall of Fame and in 2011, Alan and Steven Pigram began touring with Alex Lloyd as part of the Mad Bastards Trio, performing music from the 2011 film, Mad Bastards. Their soundtrack was nominated for an ARIA Award for Best Original Soundtrack, Cast or Show Album at the 2011 ARIA Awards.

While Stephen and other Pigrams have been playing gigs around Broome, the Pigram Brothers haven't played together since Shinju Matsuri 2015, when they famously closed the festival by playing Raindancing during the finale fireworks.
The Pigram Brothers recently announced they would be playing on New Years Eve at the Elephant Bar, Broome Convention Centre, Chinatown. Tickets were selling online within the five minutes of the event going live.
